    thats the one that is 6*30 or 3*90...somethong like that right? I had the 976 back in the day before I sold it. if its the one I am thinking about, its not good for this application. you cant bridge those amp sections into any less than 8 ohms, and the 1B's are 6 at the highest, if not 4

    I would look further, but certainly dont rule out Rotel. the RB 960 (i have owned 2) at a conservative 60 per channel wouldnt do those 1b's bad at all, since I believe they are about 92 db efficient. and they go in the sub 200 range.

    another PHENOMENAL choice would be that NAD amp Dorokusai was selling in the flea market. if its available, he was selling it for 220 ish? give or take. worth every penny, and would be friggin sweet on those 1b's
