I am selling my set of SDA SRS 2.3TL's. Good condition. I have owned them for 2.5 yrs. Previous owner replaced the speaker cloth with cloth recommended in the SDA Compendium vol 1. Previous owner also replaced 1 tweeter on each speaker (total of 2 tweeter replacements) with the recommended Polk silk dome replacement tweeter. A homemade interconnect is included.     Picked up the 2.3 TL from acdds yesterday. It was nice to meet a fellow Polkie face to face. I finally got them unloaded and connected today. They certainly fill up the room (physically and sonically! :D ). I was amazed that they sounded so much different than my SRS 2's.

    The main difference to me is that the soundstage is bigger. The 2.3TL's fill the room with more sound than the SRS 2's. I am still tweaking things, but that is my most immediate impression. I think it is worth mentioning that my room is pretty big and has almost a 2 story vaulted ceiling. I think it is just a tough space to deal with audio wise, but the TL's seem to fit the bill.

    So it sounds as though the differences are attributable to enclosure volume, creating the larger stage and moving more air, not so much in terms of sonic signature? I've always been intrigued by the 2.3s, more so than the 1.2s. Anyway, sounds like you have a listening space that's wonderfully suited to having large speakers. Enjoy.
