Some of you probably saw this mentioned on dateline I think last week. It's offered by four of the credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, Innovis, TransUnion) to remove your name from the list they sell to credit card and insurance companies. Calling and answering the prompts removes your name for 1 year and they mail you a form, which I got today, if you want to be removed permanently.

off of an old list most likly. It wont just shut off automatically, companies just wont get your updated info. If they feel secure in that an old bureau's info still holds true to an extent, they will still send you stuff. If your permanantly off the list, you'll see the number of junk mail decrease.Living Room 2 Channel -
