My girlfriend is a huge fan of the Mummy Returns movies. Have not seen it - have to buy it! I have got mixed reviews from friends. I do not think it will apeal to Gone With The Wind fans but it should be a great HT movie -Action -Sound. The soundtrack is pretty good also.

I viewed it as the Rock trying to be Conan the Barbarian......I love the MummyS as well, didn't think it really tied in well with the Mummy though......and the guy they had acting as the heavy was not convincing to me at all, just seemed too wimpy looking.

Just watched it and I have to say I really liked it alot. For 1 and 1/2 hours it never got boring. Tons of action and great sound. I could pic it apart of course (lot of fake boobage - insane pearly whites) but there was lots of great humor and very entertaining. The Godsmack song captures the movie all to well. Well worth the $14.90 spent.

BTW, I just found this. $5.00 off via a manufacturer's coupon. Now it is totally worth the purchase. CC is $15.99, $5 off, $10.99 = no brainer. Here's the link, just click and print.

I bought it (BB $15.99) and watched it the other day... two words. "Hated it" sorry if anyone out there likes it. It was cheap imitation of other good movies like The Mummy.
Wish i had rented it first. oh well. it'll make a nice drink coaster.

I tried to tell you dangerboy...Conan he ain't....if you guys just want to see Kelly Hu she looked a lot better in that Russell Crowe flick running around in a tight black dress, high heels and pearls, on her knees in front of guys and assissinating them later.....
Now that's the Kelly I remember.....

    Ron P. -
did the clerk look at you funny when you presented that coupon. I took one to wal-mart last nite and the cashier had to manually enter the barcode #'s and coupon value as well as consult the manager twice. I wanted to make sure the coupon wasn't bogus.

BTW - what is the Russel Crowe you are talking about? I neeeeed to see more of Ms. Hu.

I agree with the posts on Kelly Hu. Saw the movie on a plane to Hong Kong and she is the best part of the movie. S. King is a great B-film for kids 13 and up.

Yeah - I'll swap Mortal Combat II for just about anything. I'll even PAY someone to take it off my hands - it's an embarrassment to my collection and was purchased without my consent and snuck in behind my back. SOMEONE TAKE IT - PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

I love the idea of a Crap DVD Swap Forum!!!!!!!

If you thought MKII was bad I think they made a series for a while. One of those Sat. late night TV shows on USA or TNT. Anyone else remember?
