They are back on ebay. Did we ever come to a conclusion as to what they are: 5's or 7's?

The measurements say 7's but the 8" PR say 5's.

Yes it did. Those are the earliest of the 7's.

    Thanks!

I know this is a crazy question, but , do you all think it would be wise to match these up with mine (double or stacked as L\R channel)? Everything is the same except for the 8" PR, both mine and those have peerless and I believe the same model mw6500 midwoofer. Just have 10" PR.

I used to be a big fan of stacking, but have moved on from it. If you were doing a quad stereo thing (one in each corner), I'd say you'd be fine. I grew up on quad stereo, my dad only listenned that way.

same tweets, therefore, you'll be fine.

I would listen to both individually and then see if there are big differences in sound. its how you learn.

No unfortunatly no quad for me. Not with a 6.1 system. There is just no more room, but if there was room I just might. :D
You know I never physically measured my 7b's. Would you know if the cabinets are the exact same size?

    Thanks for the help

Well thats aggravating!! Polksda has the original monitor series brochures and then it skips to the 7c's. Nothing about 7a's or b's. Wich were the best years, with the peerless and 10" PR.
