Question about Polk Audio 10A speakers

I've never had Polks before , but I need a set of speakers and a Goodwill near me has a pair of 10As for $30.00. They look like they are in pretty good condition, but there is no way to hook them up in the store and listen to them. I've read several threads here and there seems to be a really wide range of opinions about this speaker. Any info you can post to help sway me would be appreciated.

    If you are in need of speakers, and you found a functioning pair of 10A's in good condition for $30 I'd say snag em!
    Feed them from a good source and you will be very pleased with the sound. You are not going to find a better set of speakers at that price. Not at twice that price, thrice even.

    I called the Goodwill and the 10As are still there. They are holding them for me so I can pick them up tomorrow.
