A friend gave me his Philips turntable, circa late '70s I'm guessing, with a snazzy Grado cartidge (knowing this friend, probably a damn fine turntable in its day). The unit needs a new drive belt. I sent a note to Philips and one other turntable site I could find, but no helpful responses as of yet.

Anyone know of a shop that would most likely carry this (or a useable) belt? The belt was actually round in cross section, different than the flat belts I remember from days long ago. I also have an old Technics linear tracking turntable that needs a cartridge. I want to get at least one of them up and running because I want to tape some kid's albums - they were mine from long long ago and I want to allow my kids to hear them.

Thanks for any help or links or suggestions.

I'm not sure my cassette deck will know what to do when it gets a signal from an album after all these years.
