Batman Begins question

Did anyone go to see it in the theaters? I only saw it on IMAX and I thought I remembered the batmobile sounding much better. I just remember there being tire "scuffing" or whatever you want to call it when it skids around turns. I was really dissapointed when those sounds seemed to be missing on the dvd release. If there is a dts version dose anyone know if it has better sound/more sounds (well that was a silly question)
dvd player: samsung DVD-HD850
receiver: Denon avr5700
center: polk cs400
fronts: polk rt800i
surrounds: Unknown Polk monitor? series.
sub: svs pb12 isd/v
tv: 46 inch samsung

    I saw it 6 times at the theaters and 3 on dvd. To me, the dvd sounds exactly the same as it did in the theaters.

    Do you think it is possible that there was a different sound mix for IMAX? Or do you think its just from a difference in speakers?

    Yeah..as crazy as anyone who watches Batman 6 times at the theater and 3 in dvd :):)

    I assume your talking about when they first start playing with it in the big test room...right?

    Never saw it in the theater but those sounds are on the dvd.

    To clear this up somewhat, Batman Begins is available on the DVD format ONLY with a Dolby Digital 5.1 track -- no DTS (I know...I was crying too), and to be honest, the mix isn't that hot....the places it definitely heats up is when the Leauge of Shadows temple blows up after Bruce fights Raz Al Guhl (there's some excellent discrete panning here and thumping LFE from your sub to complement the explosions) and the final fight on the train between Liam Neeson and Christian Bale...outside of that, the dialogue on the track remains low and kind of flat, and has that typically-uninvolving Dolby Digital "feel" to it which I dont like; as if something is missing in the mix compared to DTS treatment.

    I would have loved for Warner to reissue this with a DTS version.

    Yea I probably am just going crazy, a couple of my favorites are when gordon takes off in the batmobile and the first scarecrow scene. Ive only seen it once in theater and twice at home. And yea I was thinking of the test chamber thingy. It might have something to do with my surrounds.

    Those were pretty loud, aggressive scenes too...
