hey no affiliation as I don't own buy.com...obviously

This is 389.00 from regular price. I don't know anything much besides this is an HDTV tuner and it's from RCA. I just compared it to the very limited amount of stuff on Best buy and it looks to be a good deal in comparision.

Shipping is usually around 8-10 bucks on buy.com so i guess this might be worth while if you need a Tuner.

If this isn't a good deal just let me know, because I know someone that may be looking for a tuner soon.

Has anyone dealt with this company? It looks like a good item at a good price but am a little nervous because I haven't heard of this outfit.

Thanks to any that can supply input - good or bad,

IS RCA a radio shack brand?

I know they sell a lot of RCA cables at RS but eh never but the two together.

I have always trusted RCA and radio shack for "value"

Never had a problem with Buy.com. Had to make a return once when I changed my mind. No problems encountered on the credit to my CC account.

Thanks to all who vouched for buy.com

    Schris,
I searched awhile and found three reviews (sorry - don't remember where) that said pretty positive things about this unit. The down sides were it wasn't very easy to change the resolution back and forth between 720p and 1080i, it doesn't have a NTSC (analog) tuner, and their is a issue with grey bars beside the picture (can't remember if the complaint was they weren't black or you couldn't zoom enough to eliminate them). Other than that they talked about it doing a good job of reception and signal processing. Pretty good reviews really, and exceptional for this price point. I didn't find it anywhere else for near this price.

I've used Ecost.com several times. Silky smooth transactions. I never had to return anything, so no idea with that end of their customer service.
