I want to install 4 speakers all playing @ once in stereo mode at my business what's the best way to achieve this w/o blowing anything up since they're 8 ohms speakers.

It shouldn't be that tough since you have 8ohm speakers. Just find a reciever with solid support for 4ohm speakers, since driving to 8ohm speakers is like driving 4ohm. Harmon Kardon makes a good cheap stereo reciever, and Outlaw Audio just came out with a very nice one.

Yep, Harman Kardon stereo receivers can do it. They sound great, too.

Or just hook up your speakers in series........since it is just in your office you really don't need it to be that loud, and your receiver will only see a 16 Ohm load...

I dont know what your budget is, but maybe look at the Outlaw stereo reciever. I've never heard it, but I hear good things, and I love all the rest of my Outlaw gear, they make good stuff

sorry guys should of been more cleared. This is going to be put into my restaurant driving only 4 ceiling speakers which are cheap and does not require excelent sound quality. Just decent and clear. Something cheap older is fine.

Then look in the FM and see if Faster100's vintage Marantz is still available. It will do a fine job.

actually, in that case, I would take whatever I have around and go with the series wiring plan, any old cheap clunker can handle a 16 ohm load and throw enough sound for an office environment.

Good idea, under driving is better than over driving. :) hmm lets see, I don't have any beat up equipments. LOLZ But I did manage to find a slightly newer marantz which I'm probably gonna pull the trigger on. It's floating around on ebay now.

If want something new, and cheap, take a look at the Sherwood stereo receivers. Some places sell them for even less than this. Try jr
