Like usual I Fed up again. My oppo is locked into pal mode and tech suport told me theres no way for me to reset it
While I wanted to buy a new one for SACD playback looks like I now have to worry about the video end as well. I cant aford the Denon 2910 or whatever. but I can aford this http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_15020671_35168_tab=B,00.html?compName=PNA_ProductDetailComponent Its specs are the closest I can get to the denon for under $300. Dispite its MSRP is $700
If you have 5 mins please go over it and let me know what you think...
Thanks,
Josh S.

Hi Josh!
Take a look and listen to the Pioneer DV-588A. It's $129. I know some folks don't think to much about Pioneer, but there are several members on the Forum that own this player and are very happy with it. It does SACD, DVD-A, DTS, DIVX, etc. I bought one to hold me over until I got money for a better player. I've had it about six months and I'm impressed with the performance. It doesn't have the bells and whistles of the DV-45, but you can't beat the performance for the price.Carl -
Hi Josh, I have the 47-A and am very happy with it. If you can afford it, get it.

Cathy
Hey, does it upconvert via the component? -
I may be wrong but, isn't upconversion only over a DVI/HDMI connection? I know that is how our Denon is.God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8

I know some used to upconvert via comp. since it suports 1080i res. My 30 inch HDTV I just bought a few months ago shakes at 1080i when I send the signal threw the HDMI so I need Up conversion threw the comp. fo rthis setup to work. -
Is your TV still under warranty? It shouldn't shake when in 1080i format."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,
CAUSE I SPEAK OF THE POMPITIOUS OF LOVE" -
I can't speak to its performance, but I almost bought one (or maybe the 47?...can't remember) a while back.

Heres the thing, When I use the onboard tuner and recive a HDTV 1080i or 720P signal it doesnt shake.. I Emailed LG today and am waiting for a responce. But yea its under warenty. But its 130Lbs and on my 3rd floor. So its not going anywhere
720P shakes a bit via HDMI 1080i Shakes verticaly ALOT! So we shall see. -
I have no idea!
Wouldn't matter anyway since I don't have a fancy tv, just a regular old 32" crt.
