I keep going back and forth when thinking about selling these but here they are.

Three Carver Silver 9t mono block amplifiers. They provide up to 1000 watts each. This is Carvers best implementation of tube sound in a SS amplifier. Original MSRP was $1299 each. I purchased new. One was a store demo, the other two were new in the box. I only kept one of the boxes and have an owners manual.

I will grade two as absolute mint and the third as near mint because of two small specks which you can see under a bright examination light. Not noticeable unless you intentionally look for it. Of course all lamps, leds etc are funtional.

Everything is as new. They come with the plates you sit them on (also mint) and as a bonus I will throw in the repair manual I purchased when I bought the amps. You will not find a better example of these amps.

$1800 obo.

btw, they only have maybe 500 hrs on them. I retired them because the neighbors couldn't deal with them. They moved out and I don't want to subject the new ones to them. Every now and then I reconnect them for a thrill but I can't use them for long.

Oh, I don't mind having equipment that's wired with Monster Cable. I just couldn't have two different pieces with that label, as I'm sure they'd end up suing each other.

Probably not. See, here is the problem, I love this stuff but I'm thinking what good does it do me to keep it and not use it. The amps have been in the closet for the last 10 years or so. I've pulled them out maybe three times to listen to them but then they get put away again because I go back to something much less powerful. You would be amazed at what these things put out. With houses on both sides of me about 15 feet away it ends up being as loud over there as it is in my living room. Last time I played them the neighbor later commented that he didn't know he had bought a house next to a rock concert stadium. Nice guy but he had a real concerned look on his face. Better to keep the peace.

I used it as a sub amp a few times and as a center amp once. My goal at the time was to get enough of them for a 5.1 setup.

This is a GREAT deal on Carver 9Ts.

To give you a rough comparison, I just put a matched pair of Carver 7Ts on the Bay last night with a minimum bid of $999 and a BIN of $1399 for the pair. By this afternoon there were over 20 watchers and by the time I got home from work someone had done the BIN. Less than 24 hours start to finish.

[The reason I didn't offer them here first is that the discussion here seemed to indicate that they weren't worth the BIN price that I was looking for and I really didn't want to get into a p*ssing match...;)]

Seriously though, these 9Ts will put out SERIOUS amounts of clean power. You'll never want anything else unless you plan to spend GOBS more...

You should try a super low sub using the third one. Something like 7hz to 35hz or something.

When you get the amps you will notice midrange as you have never heard it before. It is powerful and lifelike. You will feel your clothing vibrate to the voices. I can hardly describe the feeling. Just bring a towel with you. :)

I guess great minds think alike, since I was thinking using it as a sub amp also, however, I had not considered the subsonic route, I am not a sub afficienado, so I know about SVS what other passive's would be good??
