I think I'll get these for my bookshelves...
instead of a computer sub just replace them with these?
That a good price?
i'll be ready to buy depending on member response on preformance of this speaker as I have no experience with it.

I bought a pair of black RT55i's from Audiogon about a year ago for about $300.00 ........loaned them to my brother before hearing them with an amp.....with a receiver they are ok but with an amp probably much, much better.Denon #2900, Denon stereo receiver, Conrad Johnson Sonographe 120 amp, Blue Jeans cables, and Klipsch RF-7's

i'll be running them with a tx 8211
It'll be for computer games and music....
i'm hoping it'll go low enough to replace a sub for music and well good enough for video games...b/c dorm space is quite limited....

I figured as much. Most sell for $300+. I didn't expect a pair for $200 to last for more than an hour or two.

I bought mine from a college guy and like he told me...they do have tons of bass.Schris22 wrote:i'll be running them with a tx 8211

I got the RT 55's great bookshelf, albeit a big and clunky (not to mention heavy) bookshelf. Yes, you can run it on a reciever with good results, but seperate amplification definitly makes a difference with these. for me, they're keepersLiving Room 2 Channel -
