Upgrade to RTi6 ?
Hey guys just curious if it would be worth it to upgrade my surround speakers.I currently have the RTi4's and was wondering if it was worth it to get the RTi6's.....would there be any noticable difference or a waste? As you can see in my sig. I run the RTi12's and the CSi5 with the Outlaw monoblocks and run the surrounds with the Pioneer 1014...Thanks.....I bought them at Sound Advice(Tweeter) and can trade them in for what I paid and add the difference towards the RTi6's.....Thanks again

Depends on the size of your room as well. If you can trade up- then i would consider it. I wouldn't upgrade from scratch however as i feel the differences in the rti4 and rti6 are negligible at best. Some on these forums, including myself think the 4 is a better speaker. Do an A/B comparo with 2channel music. Welcome to the forums.
(edit) I would also considering buying 2outlaw monos for the surrounds as well. Trust me, it WILL make a difference in the quality of the rear soundfield. -

I run the 4's as my fronts and have been very pleased with them. I tested the 4's and the 6's and for my money the 4's were the better buy.RTi4-fronts

yes- I would keep them & buy monoblocks to power them. When you upgrade from Pioneer to Outlaw amps- it'll be like injecting steroids into the rti4's.

I use the RTi6s as surrounds and I love them Very clear hihgs and mid range. They have the added advantage of a little more low end. Pluse you can play them a little louder. Use the RTi6s as your surrounds. You won't be dissapointed, more base from the rear as you can designate these as large to get more sound fromless than 100Kz. Both are great sounding speaker.Carl
