Hi guys!
I have a Denon 4802 that I need to sell. I will most likely be posting it on ebay this coming Sunday, but thought I would give you all a shot at it first.
This receiver is in near perfect shape including the Atkis RC-8000 touch screen remote, which does not have a mark on it. I apologize but I DO NOT have the original box, but I will be sure to pack it extremely well for shipping.
This beast is an outstanding performer. I have had the oportunity to listen to it on an entire LSi system (my own) and also on a full system of the current RTi series (12's, CSi5, 6's, PSW505). In both cases it sounded great. My primary reason for selling is that I could no longer live without component up conversion.
Most units in this kind of shape on ebay bring between $900 to $1000 plus shipping. To club members I will let it go for $800+ shipping of your choice.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!
UPDATE: I almost forgot one of the best parts! This receiver is under a TRANSFERABLE warranty until April 9, 2008!!
Thanks Much!
Dave

I can vouche for Dave as a stand up guy. He is also very picky about his gear!

I can't believe it's not 4 ohm stable.
Outstanding value, though."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

They don't advertise it as 4 ohm stable but I spoke with the a Denon rep and he had zero concerns about me driving my entire 4ohm LSi 7.1 system. It also came heavily recommended by a Polk Audio rep.
And just from my experience it never even broke a sweat while I used it.HT

I figured it had to be after I saw that you were running the LSis off of it.
Just can't figure out why Denon just don't advertise that it's 4 ohm stable

I'd be very comfortable running an LSi system with the 480x series from Denon. The 380x series has a weak power supply and I'd avoid trying LSi's with one of those or lower. The 4802 doesn't have this problem. Note that the THD levels on the 4802 remain the same very low 0.05 percent with 6 ohm speaker loads as with 8 ohm speaker loads, while there's about a 14 fold increase with the 3805 from 8 ohms to 6 ohms. Manufacturers tend not to rate their receivers to 4 ohms because of Federal consumer product safety regulations. Those that do rate their receivers with small power supplies as 4 ohm compatible usually put a current limiting switch on the back to meet regulatory (fire safety) requirements.

I know Polk has used the 4802R on many occasions for our trainings and they run every model of LSi off of it and it's amazing sounding. I just wonder how much of an improvement it'd be over my 3805 as a prepro...Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.
Home Setup: Sony VPL-VW85 Projo, 92" Stewart Firehawk, Pioneer Elite SC-65, PS3, RTi12 fronts, CSi5, FXi6 rears, RTi6 surround backs, RTi4 height, MFW-15 Subwoofer.
Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener. -
It's a few years older, so I'd stick with the 3805 personally.......comment comment comment comment. bitchy.

Why don't you link the auction? Its not against policy. -
Some people get miffed over it from time to time. Although since he offered them up here first, I think it is fine.

Wow, you're doing very well on this one! Generally, nobody gets upset if you offer here for serveral days and then post a link if no Polkers have shown interest. -
Thanks for the heads up.
I'll keep that in mind for next time.
