Are we even still doing the "dibs" thing? I thought that was "officially" out now, that either you definitely wanted something or not?

I don't see a problem with this, someone gave him an offer right there on the spot, and he took it. What was he suposed to do, turn it down and wait to see if someone here might would eventually buy them for less? I mean, c'mon....

He posts them at 10:00 one night and gets immediate response, but at least gets a "I'll take them" by 11:00 the nest morning.

So if he sold them between 10:00 that night and 11:00 the next morning, then fine. But what I saw was the item being posted and someone saying I'll take it on 7/8, and then the seller jumping back on here on 7/11 saying sorry they're already sold

IMO taht's bad form, and I'm entitled to and will express my opinion, just as you're entitled to do the same.

Ultimately, it's his stuff and he can do whatever he wants with it, I just don't agree with this particular decision. If these had been on here for a day or two with no bites...that would be different...

    And BS walks!

You are missing the entire point of this FM and how it works. You had a buyer here the day after you posted and then you wait 3 days to respond with a "sorry they are sold." Bad form!

BTW, it's not the value of the items, it's how you conduct business. It's the principle.

Hmmmmm.......looks to me as PM was a stand up guy in that deal, even refunded $50.00 more than he was paid!!!

Mark, IMO you're barking up the wrong tree here.

LOL......I don't know the odds, but I've known folks who have had even more crap happen all at once and continue like that for years. But for the grace...........

I agree with F1. It's not bad business however, because I don't think Miller's intentions were bad- but it wasn't good business either. I can understand why miller would want to re-coup the $75 from a local buyer- hell I'm in college- you're talking to a guy on a mid-fi budget- but also think about this: You have the opportunity to make long-term friends on here that imo is more valuable than $75 in the long-run.

Still, I can see both points of view.

(edit) how is this situation the same as Polk Maniac's ? Just wondering.
