I have a pair of LaScalas for sale. They are the black ones but have been covered with that grey indoor/outdoor carpeting junk. These are fully functional and sound good. They just don't look so good. If they don't sell I will probably reveneer them and throw them on the bay.

$600 local pick-up only.

EDIT: $550

Beautiful sounding speakers. Requires a flea powered amp, no big watts needed. I'd still have mine if I didn't find a deal on some Klipschorns.

I figured as much, actually I'm in the same boat right now. My home PC has a viral infection, and is still on dial up.:D :(

I'm just a couple miles south of Detroit. zip = 48146. I have a truck and would be willing to meet somebody but I would prefer it if they listened to them first.

So is there a problem with them?
Any unusual sounds when differing types of music are played through them?
Is it just one speaker that is bad?
Is a subwoofer blown or a horn?

Nothing is blown and they sound fine. The buyer would probably want to reseat the woofers. The drivers and horns are all stock and could be parted out for a profit. I just don't feel like messing with them and need the space and money. One is on casters the other is not and would need a bottom, preferrably a bottom with casters since they weigh about 115lbs each.

When you say it would need a bottom are you saying the bottom piece of wood is not on one unit? What ripped it off? I know how big they are. I once had a set in my '75 conversion van...it really helped the ride!
