Do any of you know anything about a Denon receiver that is 80 watts per channel, 7 total channels ? Such as a model number?
I was at an Ultimate Electronics store last weekend that was/is going out of business and looked at a Denon receiver that was 6.1 surround capable with 7 channels @ 80 watts per channel, according to their sign.
I of course didn't think to look at what model it was, and when I called them the next day they were too busy too go look and tell me. I have been searching the web and can not figure out what model this might be. The closest thing I can find is the 1905 which is 7 channels @ 90 watts per channel. The original price of the receiver in question was $499 - $599.00 and they were asking $250. Does anyone have a clue?

Magnolia and Good Guys would be selling the 1905 for around $500, or a bit less. If you're seeing it for $250, be wary of the source, and make sure they are an authorized dealer. If they are, look at upgrading to the 2105. At those prices, it would certainly be worth it.Current System:

Thanks for the help. I was originally looked at the new products on the Denon site. As far as warranty, it would still have it, this Ultimate Electronics is going out of business, and there are still some stores 1 1/2 hours from this one.Beer on tap is great, until the keg runs dry and the liqour store is closed!:D

Well I went back Saturday and was too late. The place was cleaned out. They told me the last receiver was sold 20 minutes earlier a Denon 5803 for $1600.00, way out of my price range. Oh well, it wasn't meant to be.
At least I didn't buy anything that I may have been unhappy with and couldn't return. Although I doubt I would have been unhappy with a Denon 1905 or 2105, or one of the many Yahama's they had the previous week. Thanks for the input guy's.Beer on tap is great, until the keg runs dry and the liqour store is closed!:D
