It's cool cochise, I got MUCH LOVE for you Sidmiester (slapping a fist on my chest).

Those boxes look like stuff I set out for bulk trash day, or load in the back of the truck to take to the dump, I don't see what you see.

You know how to pack man, quit over-thinking it.

    Cheers,
    Russ

To rest my case a lil further, going off your pic, negative imaged, one of the scratches are there from the pic that I posted, the other 'scratch' isnt there since it is cut off in your picture...

If you have a pic of the amp with the top somewhere on ur computer, I'll willingly negative image it as well...

    Well as it goes..

How do you pack an item, with no packing materials without shelling out alot of cash...

You seem to have limitless packing materials...I only have what people send me (or lack thereof)

Sid, you pack like a hobo.

I'm positive that the unit will reach the destination fine, but you need to suck it up, and get real in the packaging world when it comes to transactions and the shipping of "high end" gear.

Otherwise you are not ready for high end, as when you sell it, and you will, the higher the cost, the more crazy the buyer. Get used to the word "Fragile" and not with your hand....on a sticker. You'd be suprised how many claims can be easily settled, if you simply pack the object correctly.

I ship from work 300 packages a month....for the past 3 years....no claims.....never had a personal claim either....hundreds of packages. I don't even knock on wood anymore, because if it's gonna happen, well that's what insurance is for...amateurs lose money, pro's make money.

Russ and myself speak from experience man, as thousands of dollars worth of gear have shot out of these states. We are just trying to get you to establish a rock solid reputation....don't get so defensive.

Fact of the matter is, I'm out of packing materials... I mean, I looked up packing materials online....all of it was sold in large rolls/quanities...and costed a load of cash, more than I am willing to spend for 2 transactions - now if I was like Russ and shipped 10+ items a week, I wouldnt mind buying those packing materials, they would pay for theirself in time...of course...

I used what I had, thats all I could do...

Trey - Rock on, at least you give a ****....you know how many deals happen with no packing? ALOT. I commend you for at least caring about the end result....many ppl leave it in the hands of the bucko's.

I'm busting your balls, but it's just for a reason....packing is a sellers forte' and you are starting to get solid.....get it on broham, get it on.

    Thanks...

And I've had my fair share of no packaging items - IE: The NAD, it came in a box bigger than it wrapped in 2 things of small bubble wrap...cant believe it even got here...

Part of the reason I ran out...using more than whats coming in...

    While this thread keeps ticking...

What are the Adcom mods on EBay...?? For the 545 and 555? Are those the mods Russ did to the 555?

Eh, I am happy with the packing on the amp. I am not crazy yet. Or maybe I am, my wife keeps telling me I am. Hmmm, is that why everyone looks at me a little funny? Ok, level with my guys, am I crazy? You can tell me, I won't get mad.

As a side note, I am getting an amp that has been touched my Russ, I feel so special. **sniff**

Got the amp today. Even the girl at the apartment office made fun of your packing Sid.

However upon inspection, everything was very well packed and it looked like a lot of time and planning went into it. Thanks for a job well done. It arived in perfect condition. Also the scratches on the top are not as bad as the picture and my pre-amp covers them up anyway. It also sounds great.

    Thanks,
    Todd
