What's killing this one, I'm curious?
Tax Time?
The Ding?
Not a shameless bump, just never had such little reaction on an amp for sale.... You guys usually scarf them up in fairly short order.
Cheers,

I suspect it's the rated power, Russ. There's a 100 wpc mindset in a lot of people's minds. If I didn't have the Nikko 230 to drive the deck system, it would already be headed north! The A/B speaker option makes it ideal for an indoor/outdoor rig.

My guess is that the forum has become a "size matters" areana and a measly 55wpc is just too small. My experience with NAD is their 55wpc is better than a lot of AVR's 120wpc."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

Russman - I have thought seriously about this power amp a couple of times! I think the comments on the 100w mind-set are correct. Most people don't realize that NAD has pretty realistic ratings compared to others, and that their huge power reserves make more difference than a higher wattage rating. This would be great to drive my new EPOS ELS-3's in my bedroom rig. The stumbling point is that I would then need a pre and a tuner, taking up more space and still no remote (which is really nice for a bedroom system!). I'm leaning towards the new NAD C720bee receiver. Someone should scoop this up, as the price you are asking is more than fair, in fact it's a steal!DKG999

I should have watched more closely. I thought Tim got it, so I didn't bother with a PM.
It would have been a good starter amp for my brother's LSi7's(my old ones).
Maybe next time.Tschüss

Sorry to all about giving the impression that I grabbed it. I'd been "waffling" and will make sure to be more clear with everyone, including Russ. Glad it went to a member, though.Tim

My brother received the amp yesterday. Thanks to Russ for offering up, and thanks to hoosier for passing on it for me. It will be a great starter amp for the LSi7's. I'll get to listen to it in a couple of weeks when I visit.

I've been laying low for awhile, but following along avidly. Russ' question brought me out of hiding.
I've been wanting to try 2-channel separates for awhile. Right now I have a 10-year old HK 2-channel receiver that sounds okay, but have been wondering how much better adding a power amp to drive my RTA11TL's would be (the HK has pre-outs). I'm torn between trying something at the lower end ($100 or so like this one) and something more like the Adcom that DK just had for sale or even going whole hog up to one the nice integrateds that have recently been offered. In the end, it's just been a lot of indecision. The HK puts out high current 50 watts, so I wasn't sure how much better the NAD would sound anyway. Also, this rig is going to be out in the open, and this might be sound SUPER lame, but I just thought the NAD was a little ugly. Especially, when you see things like that Mac integrated Russ had.
