I'm selling one of my Energy S8.2 subs. This sub is in excellent condition. There are no sratches, dents, or scuffs that I can see. The grill is also in perfect condition. I would say 9/10 cond. I have manual, original box and styro packaging, plus I will add extra bubble wrap to make sure the sides don't get damaged.
So, without further ado...

Energy S8.2:
(images removed)

For those not familiar with the S8.2, this is the sub that was designed to match with the Take 5.2 system and received many glowing reviews.

It has an 8" long throw poly woofer injected with mica and glass spheres (for stiffness), a 20oz ferrite magnet, and a true 100W RMS amp (400W peak). The finish is a black ash vinyl wood grain. The sculpted front port and front controls allow for placement against a wall. It has speaker level inputs/outputs for connecting to a 2 channel system. It also has 2 line level inputs, 1 utilizes the internal crossover/level controls and the other bypasses the internal controls (for using with a modern receiver that has bass management). It has auto signal sensing and "soft clipping" protection in the amp. There is also a switch on the front that will boost the bass around 45hz (video setting), designed to bring out more in movies, but most, including myself, prefer the sound with switch on its normal music setting. Its too boomy with the boost on.

Overall, this is a very nice 8" sub that will fill a small/medium size room with good, musical bass. Its not an SVS, but believe me, its more than enough to get you in trouble if you live in an apartment or dorm. In other words, it kicks a** in the right sized room. Freq resp. is 27-100Hz +0/-3db.
This sub also works great if you have smaller satellites that need a sub that can blend at 100hz and a room size that is less than 400 sq feet with normal ceilings.

The dimensions are approx 10"Wx16"Tx13"D. Shipping weight is about 27lbs from zip 30127.

I'm asking $170 obo, plus actual shipping by FedEx ground to lower 48 states. I did the calculator and shipping to west coast was less than $25, east coast is less than $15. I will consider shipping to Canada by USPS.

Edit: Changed to $180 shipped.

If this is anything close to the 10 , then you would have (as mentioned above) a great lil sub. Gaming ,bedroom or an upgrade from the intro sub you may have.

You decided to keep 1 ?

Nobody is interested in this? Its a great sub. This was a $300 subwoofer new, and it is every bit as good as the current S8.3 model. I'm just trying to sell it for close to the same price that I paid for it just a month ago. Having two subs just didn't perform quite as well as I hoped it would in my large room.

Ok, how about $180 shipped in the lower 48 by FedEx Ground.

Its been a week and nobody seems interested in this sub. I guess I'll try Audiogon or Ebay.

    Edit:

Here is the listing, if anybody is still interested. The reserve is $140.

This auction ends tonight if there is still anybody who might be interested. The reserve hasn't been met, so it could be yours for $140+shipping.

At least you got more than your reserve. I gave it some thought for my computer system but I'm trying to sell more and buy less. :D
Had it been the right time I would have bought it. Damn, sorry about that...
