Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

The Rolling Stones will always be the GOAT in my book.

That video I posted is from the legendary Stones film "Gimme Shelter" released in 1970. It shows the band in it's prime in 1969 playing the Madison Square Garden concert later featured on the 1970 live album "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!" which is considered as one of the greatest live albums ever produced.

The film is a documentary of the tour ending with their tragic star-studded concert at Altamont Speedway. Any fan of the Stones knows what happened at Altamont.

The Rolling Stones made two full-length feature films in the early 1970's. "Gimme Shelter" was released in 1970 and "Ladies and Gentlmen The Rolling Stones" was released in 1974. Both are essential must-haves for any fan of the band. "Ladies and Gentlemen The Rolling Stones" was a concert film shot from 4 shows in Texas in 1972 during the Exile On Mainstreet Tour.

I remember in the later 1970s as a teenager in high school seeing "Gimme Shelter" along with "Ladies and Gentlemen The Rolling Stones" in the theaters as a double-feature at the "Midnight Movies". It was definitely an event in itself.

I have them both on BluRay/DVD. Pop one of these in and the place really rocks with the Polk SRTs!!!

    Just like being there.
