Is anyone still rocking anything from these series; Monitor Series II, RTiA and LSiM?

And how are you using them?


I'll weigh in first,

Sold my Monitor S II set up back in 2011.

In my main set up I'm using, RTiA3's for heights, A9's for wide and rears, LSiM FX702s for side surround.

Bedroom, LSiM 703s as mains, 706 center
Marantz AV10-Emotiva ERC3-Denafrips Venus-Panasonic UB9000-AudioQuest Power Quest 707-Emotiva DR3, DR2, XPA2, XPA6-Focal Kanta No2, Sopra Center-PolkAudio RTiA9, RTiA3, LSiM 702F/X-Epik Empire-11.2

    705s in my main system in the living room. Music (vinyl, streaming) and tv audio through these.

    703s in my office, they rarely get used but it’s for music only.

    My basement theater is mostly RtlTiA. It's all I need for that setup. I listen to music mostly on the other system(s) mainly because I don't want the 400+ watt projector running and putting hours on the bulb just to listen to music.

    I remember when the Speakers thread was thriving with chatter regarding the three series I asked about. But, that was quite a few years ago.

    I was just curious.

    I still have my LSiM setup in my HT rig, don’t use it as much as I used to, but glad I have it. As long as they keep working, I doubt I would ever change them or upgrade them..

    I still use some RTiA speakers.

    I have essentially broken down my HT and strictly use 2ch systems in the house at this point.

    I have a pair of RTi A5's in the living room, paired with a SVS sub.

    And a pair of RTi A1's in my basement workroom.

    The A1's are likely going to be given to friend. She has a budget of essentially $0 and I'm going through the stuff kicking around the house that I can donate to her.

    I have a pair of Focal bookies sitting in storage that I will probably put in the workroom to replace the A1's.

    Modified RTiA rig in my dedicated HT room. Sounds great, so no reason to change.

    I still have a pair of LSiM707s as my base layer rear surrounds behind the listening area. Main reason is because they have tall cabinets and project sound over the back of the sofa.

    They also blend well with the Legend L800s up front for multichannel surround music.
