Yeah, the options are weak. It is what it is. I cannot find and option anywhere to where the eyes are not so damned blinded. Vanilla sucks, but there has GOT to be another option.

The forum administrators could enable it as a toggle feature on their dashboard, if they wanted. You however, can add the Dark Reader browser extension on Chrome or Firefox.
It looks like this with Dark Reader enabled.

Originally the background was bright white, members complained. It was changed to the current light gray. I don't find it objectionable now.

It is okay during the day, but it becomes obnoxiously bright in an unlit room. Very annoying. I prefer to listen in a dark room.

Bill, I tried FF on the phone and I did not rum across any setting within Club Polk to adjust for dark mode. Does this have to be done through settings in FF, or did I miss something?

Its not a setting in the Polk Forum Settings, it is an external extension that you can add to Firefox. In the FF menus/settings, go to your extensions/add-ons manager (it is called extensions in the mobile browser and add-on manager in the desktop). On desktop, you can pin the extension icon to your toolbar and toggle it easy. The extension will cause all pages to be in dark mode so you might want to change that as needed. On mobile, you can set it to match system settings so you would toggle through the android/iOS settings to change it.

It is an add on Tom in the extension area.
They seem to want a one time payment for $10. In a dark room I turn my display down to 30%, works for me on bright pages.

Payment is optional, a donation really. Most extensions ask for donations

This Dark Reader is pretty cool. Just loaded it up. Turns out I don't care to use it on this website but really helps on some others. Thanks for the suggestion.
