The last one made me the sadest...a very nice Kitchen Aide which, after me replacing a pump motor and seal, will be auctioned off in the lucrative broken used appliance market...also know as FB Marketplace. Could it be possible a lightning strike messed up the mother board?
Anyway, enough whining about my appliance travails...any suggestions on a super quiet model? Does brand even matter any more? And most importantly - will Michigan bet Ohio State this year? Three questions at the top of my mind at this moment...

KitchenAid or Bosch for me, both have been wonderful for us over the years, the only reason we don't have the Bosch anymore is when we remodeled the kitchen we went full on KitchenAid appliances, we gave the Bosch to my in-laws and it is still working flawlessly..
Knock on wood!! LOL!!! -
Didn't you know it's more environmentally friendly to produce and recycle an appliance every 6 or 6 years versus just making one high quality unit that last 25?- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

I've always had Whirlpool.

My Bosch is still going after more than 20 years. Moved it twice, one motor replacement (which was cheaper than an impeller kit at the time). A minor repair to a weak solder joint. Works great and is super quiet.See profile for rigs. Nothing else here.

Love my Bosch, but the damned kick plate keeps giving me issues. It does not want the brackets to stay on. Other than that, it works very well and is very quiet. When we first got it, I was standing right next to it and asked my wife why she didn't start the dishwasher. She said that she did. She was right. I didn't hear it, so I just assumed it hadn't been started. DOH!
Tom~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
The team up north don't stand a chance 😭

My folks used higher-end KitchenAid appliances when they remodeled their kitchen about 12 years ago and the refrigerator, microwave and oven/range all $h!t the bed 6 or 7 years later. Just goes to show that one person's experience doesn't guarantee another's.

^^^^^True dat; Our present dishwasher is a kitchen aid and there won't be another kitchen aid here when replacement time comes.

Back in the 80s and 90s, there were some years where I had 3 different dishwashers.

We had an LG, lasted about 8 yrs until we replaced it. Now, I had been replacing parts on it after 4yrs. So don't buy that. During our search we looked at Bosch, quality isn't the same as it once was, plastic tubs unless you spend tons more and a dumb layout for dishes and utensils. Our search led us to Maytag. It's a higher end, full stainless tub and a heating element to dry dishes. Our LG used the heat accumulated in the appliance, complete rubbish, stuff was left wet all the time. This Maytag has a built in mini food processor to chew up any food that gets past the filter. It's very quiet( yes we could have upped the cash for an even more quiet one but we run it at night) 2 years and it's been fantastic. 3 pull out trays each with a wash arm.

I also have a Maytag it’s from 2019. No issues so far and it definitely is quiet.Since we don’t know where we are going we have to stick together in case someone gets there….Ken Kesey
