Red RCA port not deep enough

I purchased a PSW-10 (second hand) and when I tried to connect the RCA cable the red connector wouldn't go in at all. I tried swapping the cable to see if there was an issue with the cable itself, but no matter what the cable wouldn't go in. I checked to see if the port was deformed or something and it wasn't. The last thing I tried was using a toothpick to measure the depth of the port and the depth of the red side is about 1/2 of that of the white side, which explains why the connector wouldn't go in. Anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this? Or, just using the white connector will suffice?

Welcome to the Polk Audio forum. In all likelihood somewhere along the sub's life someone broke off the pin of an RCA cable in the socket. It might be possible to remove the amplifier from the cabinet and with a small screwdriver poke the broken pin from the inside. If this doesn't seem plausible just use the left channel input, it will work fine.

Last night I spent a little time with a flashlight and a magnifying glass to see if I could see anything stuck in it and all I saw was a white plastic. I have no clue what it is. I may give the back plate at some point and see if I can remove whatever it is that is stuck there. For now using the left channel and it is working just fine. Thanks for the ideas.
