Selling my Pass Labs Alpeh 30. Late production run in First Watt chassis. Earlier runs had a different chassis. I am the 2nd owner who owned it approximately 17 years. Excellent sounding single ended Class A amplifier. This is a true CLASSIC - very hard to find.

Comes with original box and packing and manual. Will only have professionally double boxed and shipped. Shipping/insurance is $100 and I'll cover the rest over $100.

https://www.passlabs.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/a30manr0.pdf

30wpc @ 8 ohms; 40wpc @ 4ohms. Much more powerful than the wattage suggests. The pdf attached has all the particulars. Runs balanced or unbalanced.

Factory upgraded Cardas speaker posts.

Rated an 8 for age. I don't see a blemish or a ding/scratch anywhere. Photos show some dust particles and artifacts. The mostly sat in my system and I covered it when not in use.

$1300 plus $100 shipping/insurance. PayPal FF or add 3.5% - check if I know you, etc.

I only an selling because I went up the Pass Labs line and bought the XA25.

It's a beefy amp for sure. Ran my SDA 1C's, LSi 9, RTA 11-T and my current L600's with ease. More powerful than the wattage ratings. I never hit it's limit in my smallish living room. but it's not going to win ultimate SPL contests. But it's stout, solid and the sound stage and vocal reproduction are excellent, as is the bass.

Here's a photo off the internet of the internals. You see the writing on each transistor.....these were hand matched. The input transistors were and matched in the circuit. Swapping in and out until they all were closely matched.

If you read the pdf of the owners manual I posted it goes through the entire philosophy of the amp, why simple circuits are preferred and how the design was approached. Very interesting read in general.

Link to a great in depth review.

I knew this would sell quickly. I saw 2 others in the past month sell within a day. I haven't seen one for sale for quite a while before that.

It's become a classic and highly desirable piece if the price is right. I really planned on keeping it because they seldom come up for sale, but it's not been seriously used in a couple years. I'll go for one of the newer First Watt pieces if I need another NP amp in the stable.

I agree though, I have some other gear to post for sale and I expect I'll need to be patient.
