Done testing these and letting them go. I'm Including a fresh set of Wuhan silk domes, DCR matched to 6.5 ohms. Burn them in and they sound on par with 194s without crossover work.
These also take RDO194 and RDO198 diaphragms with O-ring spacers included. I tested used 198's in them and the detailed sound surpasses a factory housing.

If I hadn't already put 194s in my 2Bs... Plus, these deserve better cabs than mine - 7/10 studios. Also overkill for the Monitor 5s that are already out of rotation.
Numerous other audio priorities (especially audio in the bonus room of my lady's new-to-her house) prevent me wanting to do anything further with them for the foreseeable.

These smooth the 194's even better, but the 198's with back chambers are truly on another level because they deliver a top end that the 194s just fall short of.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists. -
Fall short. That's a good way of putting it. That's a nice way of explaining a 194 tweeter compared to a 198. The 194 simply does not do it for me. These look familiar.... Lol.
