Usually I post funny stuff I find on line in this thread, but today I have a photo I took myself this morning in the Portland OR airport. I had just landed, and like most older guys, I made a beeline to the bathroom as soon as I got off the plane.

The sign I saw above the toilet made me stop short. Me being me, my brain immediately goes to “…The reason that sign is there, is because someone either complained about the taste of toilet water, or someone sued the airport because no one told them not to drink the toilet water…”

Really? Is this where we are as a society? Yea, don’t answer that…

I think it means they are using some kind of "grey water" for the toilets... perhaps other sources of running water, too.

Dogs tend to view toilets as "draft", don't they?

    But, yeah...

My dog has never had a sip out of the toilet. But let me tell you she's annoying AF when there is snow out. Fresh water in her dish, nope. It has to be snow. Sometimes a couple times an hour. She loves the stuff. Yes, it's clean snow in the backyard not front yard filled with salt and sand

East. In the Columbia River Gorge. If you've never been to the Gorge I highly recommend it. One of the most beautiful places on Earth. But this time of year it's kinda socked in with fog and rain.

By my cabin, in Upstate NY, there is a hardware/lumber center that the bathroom fixtures have basically the same sign as the picture.

It's a very rural area and people not having running water isn't unheard of (my cabin as an example).

For the toilets and sinks, their well water isn't filtered, so it's considered non-potable. They have a separate station in the building with filters if you need drinking water.

For an airport, I think your guess of recycled grey water is probably spot on.
