Sanity Check: LSiM 702 f/x installation

I need a sanity check! If I’m installing LSiM 702 f/x speakers behind my seating area, is it correct to have the L and R installed as normal with the tweeter and midrange pointing toward the wall? This seems wrong. Or do I need to switch L and R so that the tweeter and small mid are pointing at the center listening position and not the wall? In other words, install Left where Right should go, and Right where Left should go.

Thanks,
Jason

Depends what you want. Do you want the highs beaming at you or a reflected sound. Maybe try both

I think this depends on if they are being installed on the back wall or side wall, side wall I have mine as normal, on my back wall I swapped them so they point inwards. It made no sense to have them pointed towards the wall.

That's the right way. The face of the speaker with the tweeter should be pointed towards the listening area not into a wall.

The switch on each speaker is just a bass adjustment switch to be used if a speaker is closer than 2 ft to a wall boundary.

The older LSiFX had a bipole/dipole switch because the speakers had tweeters and midrange drivers on both faces and could be configured as more direct bipole speakers or more diffuse dipole speakers. I still those were the best surround speakers Polk ever made.

Thanks guys! Great info! I loved my LSis for many years. I will say the LSIms are in another universe to my ears though. The clarity in the high/midrange is amazing. I just sold my LSi F/Xs to my son. With his LSiC and LSi15s, he loves them.
