Cheapaudioman just did a review of them and seems to really like them, but I suspect I could find something for less on the used market that I preferred. I also don't really trust his reviews.

It really does look like a fancy Cerwin Vega !! I’m getting some Infinity SM vibes too. lol. The last pair of Infinity SM I had I donated. I was actually going to use it as part of a garage system that never happened in my fairly new home. My better half said just no room in there and she was right.

Anyways looking forward to seeing if there are any other reviews for these speakers.

My late Dad for many years had a Jensen Concert Series 1030 3 way that kinda reminds me just a little of those too. !

Up until I was about 17 years old or thereabouts I thought they sounded the best ever !! That is Until my Dad took me to a high end audio store .. and the rest is history LOl ! Thanks Dad :)

I'm digging all of the "nostalgia" speakers that have been coming out the last few years. These strike me as being in the current Wharfedale Dovedale target market for a much lower price. I think the popularity of turntables and vinyl are what has enabled this trend towards audio products that have a more visible presence in a living space. The beautiful wood cabinets are a necessity and walnut is the classic choice. Large old school doped paper woofer. People don't just want narrow speaker cabinets with small drivers anymore!

I agree. I auditioned a pair of Wharfdale Lintons (in home) about a year ago because of the vintage retro look. They were gorgeous in there walnut finish & the matching stands were a perfect match & really made a statement in my room.

I did like them but in the end I found them to be a tad too much on the laid back sound. So back they went. I'm the kind of guy that likes to bring gear in for a in home trial period before passing judgement.

Agree on the Lintons. I would be happy with them as an only pair of speakers for two channel use but other more expensive speakers are available to me. Mine are sitting in the closet again for future use.

I see the Cerwin Vega comparisons mentioned regularly. The various heritage speakers only look a bit like Cerwin Vega because that company was the main one apart from Klipsch that kept on using large woofer cones. That's the where comparisons end though. Cerwin Vega were very high efficiency low sound quality party speakers. The heritage speakers are regular efficiency speakers aimed for some fun listening.

I cannot lie, the domed mid-range speakers I've used or heard sounded sublime. When Dynaudio sold raw drivers, I built some damn fine sounding speakers with their domed mids. There's something to how sound radiates off the dome 😉

I've noticed the domed mid-range driver on the Wharfedale Evo line before. The Emotiva idea apparently came from hearing them in ATC professional monitor speakers. I'm not sure if the mid-range driver is an ATC unit but I doubt it is.
