These have been my office speakers for many years. I upgraded the crossovers with Obbligato (tweeter) & Solen caps as well as Mills resistors. I also added a small square of Blackhole 5. The results were very positive. Included if you want are 2 brand new tweeters and 2 damage free grills. There are the usual fine scratches on the gloss black finish, but nothing that stands out under normal light. The photos were taken under extremely bright light.

Those are phenomenal speakers! I have a pair I was using for surround duty in my family room, before WAF dictated in-ceiling surrounds. After that, I did some head-to-head with them and the LSi7 my daughter had in her room. My daughter now has the SB3 set in her room - they are that good. I would love to hear your upgraded version Jesse…
