New to me SRS 2s

Over the last 3 days I've added three new sets of polks, a pair of SRS 1.2TLs, SRS 2s, and Monitor 5JR series 2s
This thread is for the SRS 2s and their associated project.
https://imgur.com/a/sqNzhSq
Both pairs of SRSs were from the same seller, the TLs are in perfect shape but SRS 2s.....not so much.
Someone has been in both before (owner claims he did but his neighbor may have in the early 2000s, he doesn't remember) and unfortunately while I did get a set of 4 RD0-194s out of it I also have an unknown driver (with coil rub) in the left channel stereo array lower position, a MW6510 in the same position on the right channel, a replaced MW6511 above that driver, and a dead MW155 on the right channel. The right crossover also has a blown component that I think is the poly switch, left terminal plate has a snapped post and there is one stripped thread hole on the right cabinet as well.
Cabinets other than the striped thread are in otherwise good shape, I have two small cracks between the boards on the top plates but that's it. Grills etc are all perfect
I'm going to be upgrading these fully with all the usual mods and VR3 crossovers, I will also likely replace all drivers with the set out of my original SDA1c set because I know those are all perfect and have never been overdriven.
Not sure what I'm going to do about the MW155 though, that's the most major issue I'm dealing with

Yep. I'm kinda depressed about it tbh, that was the one thing I don't have spares for

Whoops, my bad. Hit the wrong key clearly....
If anyone is selling one or more I'll pay top dollar for spares lol! I need at least one replacement for these to work at all since I doubt I can fix this one

What is wrong with it?
Bunch of issues, pictures show it as best I could capture but the suspension is torn, styrofoam cone is detached from the flat diaphragm, foam is flaking at the edges and at the center "post" where it meets the suspension as well as being melted looking.
External items and the basket are all fine but the internals are dead

As rare as hens teeth AND you WILL pay TOP dollar. Very very few come up for sale on ebay, when they do, they go for hundreds of dollars. If anyone is selling one or more I'll pay top dollar for spares lol!
Whatever glue they tried to use melted the foam.

100s is fine to me as long as I can get one lol!
My escapades with these SDAs have been hugely beneficial to me NOT spending money on crazy high dollar speakers. I always listen to my standard tracks at home before going to test anything and every time the "lowly" 1Cs win or make me question "why are these $20k-50k again?" when I'm trying something new.
The only stuff I've heard that is definitely better is $85k+ and that would require me to ditch my car habit lol!2 channel: MXN10, Anthem MRX740, Anthem MCA5, SDA1c recap/RDO, JL Fathom F112V2, Tributaries series 8A, Tara labs RSC

What do you suggest I do in regards to the dead/melted foam at the suspension? Should I try and precision cut some styrofoam to fill the gap or something?

At this point in the game you take ANY of the 15" passives from any of the speakers that used them.
I have no recommendations for the fix. -
Post a picture in the forum of the damage to the passive. I can't see anything but a little narrow window because of all the advertisements blocking your photos on that imgur.George / NJ

Photos of the front as well?
What is the condition of the butyl rubber surround and the spider? Is there adhesive separation at those attachment points?
How does the passive move when you exercise it with your hands? Does it move freely?
I see the solvent melted foam. That carriage bolt glued into the foam is the tuning weight for the passive.
Is the weight still centered in the basket opening and does it look cocked? How about the front of the passive? Surround evenly convoluted all around?

That's interesting.
I'd leave the plug area alone. The Aleenes suggestion is solid. Another option would be non-RTV silicone.Political Correctness'.........defined

Passive moves "fine" but the foam is detached so I can't move it without hearing a slight rub. That's what had me suspecting something was wrong in the first place.
Front looks perfect, surround is perfect, spider looks like it's totally fine other than right at the center where it's barely touching the foam pillar with the bolt.
Bolt is still centered and everything still moves, I can pick up the foam/bolt by hand and lift the whole foam cone off the radiator and it remains centered/attached with the suspension

Apparently someone used an incorrect adhesive to repair a loose attachment and over time the adhesive has outgassed solvent that melted the styrofoam. Captain obvious I know, but it is what it is. This is what grok had to say and gives some recommended adhesives for you to verify suitability, like 3M 1300L Fastbond (may be misinformation - solvent based!). Aleenes Tacky Glue is probably a good one too, at least it was mentioned by others in the past, not just in this thread.

I had an issue with my SDA SRS's one passive, the spider had separated from the cone.
Cant remember who it was but they recommended the proper adhesive for the repair.
I was able to do the repair myself and the passive is back to operating like new.

You have corrosion on the exposed wires coming off the inductors possibly from the adhesives corrosive properties?

That blue (20uf?) cap got hot enough to wilt back the heatshrink wrap on it. Maybe those inductor wires got hot too at the higher resistance solder pad area.George / NJ

I wonder if they might've been DarqueKnight's. Are all the terminal tabs bent out away from obstructing the basket window? That is a good potential tweak in my opinion and I've never seen any MW straight from the factory that way. A little less reflection back at the cone and better breathing no matter how slight.George / NJ

Still running a pair of 1Cs as mains but I picked up a mint Anthem A5 to swap out the MCA I was using. The increased damping factor massively cleaned up my bass response, I figured it would help but I actually was able to hear new things with the reduction of noise at the wrong times.2 channel: MXN10, Anthem MRX740, Anthem MCA5, SDA1c recap/RDO, JL Fathom F112V2, Tributaries series 8A, Tara labs RSC
