Upgrading Monitor 7.2.4 setup

I have had the following speakers now on an Onkyo TX-RZ70 and a Samsung QN90CD - 85inch 4K TV. I listen to flac music thru an old squeezbox touch and watch Atmos movies thru my PS5 and streaming. Its sounds pretty good honestly but I know my speakers are entry level.
Left and Right Monitor 70s
Center CS2
Left and Right surround and surround back Monitor 60s
Front Heights Monitor 40s
Back Heights Monitor 30s
Two SVS PB12-NSD Subwoofers
I will retire soon but can work longer to upgrade if I choose. I read that the LCR are the most important by far so I am considering upgrading those 3 speakers. Are there upgrades that would timber match my surrounds? Do they need to match? If I go all out and get the Polk Audio Reserve R700 left and right and the Polk Audio Reserve R400 center(this the correct match?) would that sound good? I would have the one pair of 70s as surrounds and a pair of 60s as back surrounds plus my front height 40s and rear height 30. Or would this sound bad?
I am looking for advice. I am working for another 6 months and then retiring. I can work a little longer to upgrade if I want but not sure what path to take and if it would make my litening experiance better. Appreciate any advice as I dont have a plan currently.

Might as well go for a full matching set if this is your last hurrah.Political Correctness'.........defined

Congrats on the upcoming retirement.
No need to worry about matching the fronts and the rears in my opinion.
R700 should be a nice upgrade over the Monitor 70, but I don’t have experience with either. Also, not sure how the R700 will be powered by an AVR…though the Onkyo appears to be a good one.
Hopefully you’ll get some responses from people who have some experience with the R700.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -

Yea a bit, but i think my wife would prefer I keep working and my jobs not bad so if working a few extra months gives me some better toys it might be worth it. -
The Onkyo receiver is their top model I think, so that's good. The R700 and R400 would run fine with the receiver but they are more demanding to drive than the Monitor series. You can get around that somewhat by running all three Reserve model speakers crossed over at 80 Hz and let your subwoofers handle all the low bass for home theater. You can always add a two or three channel separate amplifier if you want more out of the speakers later on.
They would be a big step up! -
Thanks for the feedback - the R700s and R400 just went on sale - I am going to try to audition them at a local place if I can find one.

Follow up opinion question, would I notice much difference if I changed my Monitor 60 floor speaker surrounds with Bookshelf Reserve R200s on stands?
You think the R900s would sound better for front and back heights versus my Monitor 30s and 40s? Or if I replaced them with R100s or R200s?
This will likely be my last upgrade so just exploring ideas. They are all on sale now as well.
