Short pair of Signal Cable I/C's

Just as the heading states. Would prefer 1M or shorter if possible. I have one pair I use in the office rig and I need a 2nd pair. I like to keep things uniform......it's part of my audio OCD.

The ones I have are about 15 years old - blue techflex type jacket, black/red shrink wrap w/ Signal Cable emblem in gold. Gold connectors.

It's time for everyone to look in their magic audio closet and see if you have a pair you can part with.

I swear I had a 2nd pair, but we used to meet a lot at everyone's house and swap gear, etc and I may have left them there years ago when I switched to MIT.

The blue sheathed cables are Analog II's. That's what I'd prefer.

I may have what you are looking for....not with the Blue sheath though. Mine are all black and if memory serves, they are shorter than 1M.

When you say short, just how short are you talking about. I think mine are 1/2M. (or somewhere close to it)

I was poking around the Signal Cable website and he sells in 2, 3, 4, 5 feet, etc. Not meters. The pair I have now must be 2ft, which is fine.

The black ones are Analog I's.

2' sounds about right. Before I go looking, are you interested in this pair or do you want the Analog II's?

I am interested, but let's see if anyone has analog II's. My OCD will thank me...lol.

    Thanks Tom

Great, I prefer the analog II's if possible. But we'll see what everyone has to offer. I was thinking I have another place to check at home for the missing pair of mine.

Thanks, but those are too long. I still have a 6' pair of Analog II's in my stash.

    LOL Phil,

What you want for them? I actually need a longer pair (I think). But, since I am unsure I may take these. I need to re-arrange gear.

I went from a simple one unit integrated w/usb dac to dual mono amps, a pre-amp and dac. None are full sized chassis, but my desk top is only so big.

    @daddyjt are too long.

No charge...early Christmas 🎄🎄present for you. PM me your address. I thought I had it from when I bought the speaker cables from you.

If you ever have any more MIT cables your looking to sell just give me first dibs on them.

That's very generous of you Phil.

I do have some MIT's I will move along shortly. I'll PM you some info by the weekend. I need to start getting rid of some of the audio closet stuff. I have been on a extreme buying kick in the past year or two. I can't keep everything for a "rainy" day.

I am contemplating putting together a 3rd rig, something very near field (with my RT25i's) or I may sell a bunch of stuff to buy another pair of bookies to swap in and out of the office rig. I have my eyes on a pair of Golden Ear - BRX. I am intrigued by the Heil Air tweeter.

I think I've finally found the right gear/sound for the office rig. It's been rather expensive...lol, relatively speaking.

We have a small nook up in a loft area over the den where the sky lights are. There is an overstuffed pair of chairs as well as on the wall cabinet. Enough space on either side for speaker stands. Sit about 3 feet away. Perfect for a nice intimate little near field rig that doesn't need to thump, but is super transparent, open and image like ****.

    Hey Brock,

I got ears on the Goldenear BRX monitor's & they are excellent! I think you will find them to your liking. Give 'em a shot.

The IC's are on their way to you. I mailed them out today. Enjoy!!

    Thanks again Phil.

Now I'm not so sure on the BRX monitors. According to one review they are efficient, but can present a difficult load. Read here:

Before the review proper had even begun, alarm bells started to ring as I noted the quoted nominal impedance of a low 4-ohms and a 90dB sensitivity. The combination caused my beloved Hegel H190 to shut down, flashing “Hot!!!” on the front panel display, during material which clearly included a lot of energy around 170-320Hz, where the speaker’s impedance drops to around 3 Ohms. It goes down to sub 2 Ohms at 140Hz, and clearly needs plenty of power.

He doesn't state at what volume (dB) or room size he shut his amp down. I'd be running these with the ACA's in parallel mono.

Most other reviewers say they are easy to drive. Technically my Polk R200's are less efficient and they sound great an can play fairly loud.

I'm just looking for a different "flavor" bookie that won't break the bank but sounds different than Polk. I've had Polks most of my life, I'd like to try something different once in awhile. Also thinking about Wharfedale?

I'm not quite ready to pull the trigger yet. I have a couple of tube integrateds I swap in also so I'd need something compatible with those too. Looking for an excellent medium level, near field experience.

I would still give them a shot as long as they come with a reasonable return policy. I'm sure the amps you have would be just fine with them. As you well know there's nothing like 1st hand experience with a new toy in your room with your gear. Worth a shot .

Honestly for near field... Studio monitors smoke home audio bookies

I mean more nesrfield. 3 to 4 feet rather than 6-8-10 feet like now. A bit more intimate, but not quite 100% like studio monitor distances. Audio funds are depleted for awhile. Unless a good deal comes along on something. I just bought a 3rd DIY Pass amp. A Minmax, which is similar to the ACA. But it's higher power and performs like a First Watt F5.
