Who is Kim Jasper?

Since my Magnify Max stopped working again after a power outage, I contacted a certain Kim Jasper, as recommended several times in this forum. He responded immediately. But with an email that was classified as a security concern, and he immediately offered to replace my soundbar free of charge if I provided my address, phone number, and serial number.
When I asked him how this worked and that I was a bit skeptical, he simply asked me how old the system was... When I told him it was from 2019, I didn't get a response from him.

My questions: Who is this Kim Jasper? How does this relate to POLK? Is there even a reputable customer service center for these devices in Germany that I can contact?
Best regards,
Rayco

Kim Jasper is an old school Polk employee. He's an original from the time when Matthew Polk and Sandy Gross owned the company. Kim is one of the most honest individuals I've personally ever interacted with here. Unfortunately as time marched on and successive companies have bought and sold the company over the decades the original Polk customer service has been handicapped.

    Hello pitdogg2, hello forum,
thank you for the detailed answer.
I was just a little confused and skeptical because he immediately offered to replace the soundbar for free, because I have had a lot of experience with such tempting offers.
I'm still wondering how that's supposed to work if he offers that to everyone whose soundbar has stopped working.
And how exactly is that supposed to work? Does Kim still work at POLK and send one from the factory? Or does he have everything in his basement?
And can I return mine after I get the replacement soundbar, or do I have to send mine first? And if the latter, where is my security?

Does anyone have experience with such exchanges?

    Best regards

    Hello pitdogg2, hello forum,
    thanks for the link.
I do believe Kim is a very honest, trustworthy, and helpful person.
However, it still doesn't answer the questions I had.
I think this would also interest many others who have the same challenge.

    Thanks anyway, and best regards,

    Hello,
Q: And how exactly is that supposed to work? Does Kim still work at POLK and send one from the factory? Or does he have everything in his basement?
A: Yes, Kim is an employee of Polk Audio. He would enter a sales order in the Polk Audio system for a replacement soundbar which would be shipped by the appropriate facility.
Q: And can I return mine after I get the replacement soundbar, or do I have to send mine first? And if the latter, where is my security?
A: You would not be required to send your soundbar anywhere, you can do with it what you want.

    Dear Kim Jasper, dear forum,
First of all, I would like to apologize for my skepticism, which you at least partially dispelled in this thread.🙏

I'm still very surprised because I've never experienced anything like this in the service department from any other company.

I haven't decided on a different soundbar yet, because the POLK Magnifi Max, in my opinion, is far, far ahead, both in terms of design and sound, and I would be very disappointed to replace it with anything else. Even „Bose“ hasn't really convinced me about the Magnifi Max.
Thank you all for your nice words and help🙏
    and best regards from Berlin

Addendum: I don't know if my last post was translated correctly. Of course, I meant: Even "Bose" could not convince me, compared to the Magnifi Max. Sorry for the wrong translation.

Be sure to purchase a high quality surge protector/power conditioner, so that the next power outage doesn't brick your new Polk SoundBar.
