    actually, while all of the fun forum hijinks were comin' down today here, I was out back doing the annual clean-out of the gunk :# filter on our septic system's settling tank*.
    Which I mention largely because I realized it was impressively on topic given the title of this thread...

    * We have the tank pumped every two years; they recommend that we clean the filter rather than pay them seventy-five bucks to do it. It's not all that onerous, actually. :#
