Carver TFM-25 with SDA SRS 1.2

Anyone here have experience running this combination? It's common ground, but I came across someone claiming in the thread linked below that Carver amps use a hot ground on one channel. Is that true?

Stop!!!!!!!!! It is not safe to connect you amp to this!!!! You may blow-up your amp!!!!

All Carver amps use a Hot ground for one channel! You may short-out one channel on your amp and release the smoke if you connnect both of your negative terminals to this thing!

THIS IS NOT TRUE ^^^^ Some Carver amps DID use that topology M-500 comes to mind. The 1.5t is very similar to the TFM 25/45 series in which I used BOTH at one time or another on SDA-1a and SDA-2.3tl. That being said IIRC they were TWO different configurations of one of those amps 1.5-1.0 series one was NOT common ground.(IIRC it may of had to due with the T) The other poster was correct that you can tell by testing with a multimeter on the negetive binding post with the AMP OFF if it reads zero you should be good.
Either way I know for a fact that the TFM25 and TFM45 are both safe to use on both the SDA blade/Blade and Pin/blade series of SDA as I used both on both SDA series. The TFM25 is going to be a little weak for the 1.2 IMHO. Those big SDA speakers need and love big current to control all those drivers. If you get any extra money look for some of the high current Parasound amps.

Oh you HAD TO KNOW if I was around I would jump in on this thread.
The TFM-45 would definitely be a better match for those bigguns. OR if you still wanted to stay with Carver, try Sunfire amps.
Ivan aka @pitdogg2 knows exactly what he is talking about though.

I had TFM-45 amps driving my old pin/blade SDA-1C's that @lightman1 has now.
I currently have yet another Sunfire Cinema Grand Signature driving my SDA-SRS 3.1TL's and making wonderful sounds.

P.S. The oldest Carver amps-that being the M series-were not common grounded between the two channels. The TFM series which replaced them are common grounded.
I still have a letter from Bob Carver himself about my first SDA-1B's and a Carver M-400t.
