ES20 or ES55?

Im coming up on a boat load of overtime money and wondering what might be the better purchase? I don't have anyway to hear these in person unfortunately. My current L/R are a pair of ES15s which I like but id move these to the surround spot
If anyone has any experience on these please chime in!

I just bought an RSL 10e that will be here by end of August. The bass part is what Im wondering about. Not sure how much more you get with the ES55.
I am in a big room 15’x36’ and even though the ES15s lack that punch still sounds decent. But I bet the extra bass from the ES55 over the 50 will go a long ways id assume -
The 20's are no slouch with a good sub in the mix. I run an SVS PB2000 and have no complaints.

I’m thinking if you have a subwoofer but you’re still counting on needing bass from the speakers, then you may not have the right subwoofer. (And I’m making no judgment on the sub you having coming as I know nothing about it)
BUT…it’s probably equivalent to my first sub which means you’ll be happy with it.

BUT…it’s probably equivalent to my first sub which means you’ll be happy with it.
Right now I have a crappy PSW10. Don't have the 10e yet but should be a step up. Doesn't help my room is an unfinished basement so concrete and drywall -
With speaker stands the ES20 will probably cost more than the ES55 which makes the decision pretty easy I think.

I was hoping to find them on sale on Accessories4less. Already own speaker stands but man I'm conflicted haha. Have to see once my paycheck hits the bank and really hoping I can find a refurb set

If you have a smaller room or need bookshelf speakers, go with the ES20. If you have a larger room and want floor-standing speakers with deeper bass, choose the ES55.

Went with the ES55 and Im legit blown away. Never had towers before and these hit amazing in movies and sound amazing with music also

Given that you like your ES15s and enjoy them enough to keep them around, I’d probably go with ES55 if the budget works and your amp/power sources are solid. That gives you more “room to grow” sonically. But if there’s any concern about amp mismatch or room constraints, ES20 is still a very good step up from the ES15.
