Redo or is a -5 Audyssey trim for the sub sufficent?

50% on the gain got me to a -5 with audyssey and wondering if I should redo it. Going on google everybody says the trim should be different levels…

-3 to -6 or -6 to -9 or -6 to -12 lol. New to this and trying to understand the best settings

Number one this is quiet as possible
    Fans, AC, family etc
    Get a pen and paper
Run calibration 2 to 3 times with mic at ear level in best listening spot

I then pick a selection of movies and start adjusting by ear, writing down all my changes till I am happy

    Good luck and have fun

Each room is different. I usually ran it 2-3 times, if it comes up the same twice, I'm done. Some of the early room correction software had a real hard time with the .1 sub side of things. Those days I set it by ear where I liked it best.

In my experience I usually boost the surround by 2, the center by 1 and the sub 5 to 10
