How to Safely Remove Light Scratches and Swirl Marks on Polk LSiM 707 (Midnight Mahogany Finish)

What products or polishes are safe for this finish?

Are automotive polishes (like Meguiar's Ultimate Polish or swirl remover) safe?

Should I use a wood polish, furniture scratch cover, or buffing pad?

Those have a matte sheen, so polishing products will increase the sheen.

Can you post a few pics of what issues your speakers have?

Someone has not been kind to them.

As a professional I can say there's no easy solution for you to do at home. Basically, they need to be wet sanded, perhaps up to 2000 grit, then resprayed with 10-15 sheen lacquer. Therefore, I suggest you seek out a pro shop.

As previously mentioned, there is nothing that will easily remove those scratches. It is possible that a good quality furniture polish (non-silicone based) might lessen the look of some of the scratches, but otherwise, take it to a pro. I wouldn't try to use auto products.

The Stabilizer base that support the speaker from tilting over. What is out there that I can use to polish due to light scratches?

The answer is the same, unless you are talking about the metal cone/spikes. If that is the case, I think you are overly worried about something that won't really make a difference. It is clear that you are trying to sell these and want them to look as good as possible. Most buyers won't care about fine scratches as long as it is not visible from listening distance. Polish them up with something gentle like Weiman Furniture Cleaner and Polisher using a soft cloth and be done with it.

Yes I'm planning to sell them. I want them to look good for the new owner. I like the lsim series a lot. I have both 705, 707 and 2 706 to go with it
