LSiM703 - trim ring

I’ve owned these speakers for about 20 years. Always a stellar performer. The other day I noticed odd clipping sound coming from one of the woofers. Upon closer inspection, it looks as though the trim ring has become detached (if there is such a thing). I’ve tried looking at the other speaker to see how it’s attached but can’t quite figure it out.

Does it look from these photos like I can repair this myself? Still don’t know how it happened. I can pull the trim ring away from the speaker all the way around, revealing the driver.

Is this glued on or what? Puzzles, puzzles.

Appreciate any input you may have guys.

The ring pulls off like a grill, you can use a paint can open to pull them from beside the surround

Looks like the surround has come unglued. Did the beauty ring just hold it in place?

Any competent audio speaker repair facility can rebuild this for you. You may need to leave the driver there for a stint, depending on how busy they are. Call and ask some of your local repair facilities, get a feel as to whether or not they sound professional and competent, then take the driver to them. There is no need to bring the entire speaker. Just the driver that is in need of repair.
