Best TV on the market-Expert Recommendation

I’ve been looking into the best TV on the market right now, and after checking trusted sources like Wirecutter (NYTimes) and CNET, two models keep showing up as top picks. Both are highly rated on Amazon too. So I’m wondering—has anyone here used either of these yet? I would love to hear some real-world feedback before deciding!
1. Hisense U8 Series
It is recommended as the top pick by the NYTimes Wirecutter
It has amazing brightness, great for both dark rooms and bright environments.
It also has a quantum ULED display, full array local dimming, and excellent motion handling.
It is perfect for gaming and streaming—delivers stunning 4K performance at a great price.
2. LG OLED C4
It is CNET’s top recommended TV for 2024
It has an OLED panel with perfect blacks and cinematic picture quality.
It is ideal for movie lovers and gamers. It comes with HDMI 2.1, 120Hz refresh rate, and Dolby Vision.
It has a sleek design and top-tier performance. It is a premium pick for serious viewers.
If you've used either of these, I’d love to know how they perform day-to-day. Both are in the running for the best TV on the market and hearing from someone who owns one would really help. Thanks in advance

Smells like spam, especially since you already asked about other TV's in a different post where you were leaning towards a TLC set.

Regardless of whether it is spam or not, Rtings is the website to go to for non-biased TV reviews. Wirecutter is a trash NY Times site and CNET has always given garbage advice. Both are advertiser slanted.

Money not a consideration I would say Sony Bravia Master Series would be my choice.

Lots of other tv brands have equal pictures at this price point but, the master series from sony are more reliable than others.
This series is built with precision and quality.

    No, not a Sony affiliate.

The only tv i’d trade my Panasonic zt & vt plasmas for.

Cannot disagree. My top of the line Sony has been nothing but spectacular viewing for myself.

Bought the 77 Sony OLED a year ago and I love the performance. Costco with the free two year warranty and part of the deal was another three year’s warranty added onto the original two. Good luck. D

I've been enjoying my Sony OLED for almost four years now. That said, the reviewers say the LG equivalents look just as great. I originally bought the Sony for the design of the feet (they can be configured low or high). At that time, it was the only 65" OLED that would fit into the entertainment center we had at the time. After I moved to a new place, it ended up on a wall mount, so that became a moot feature.

Jesse, it's because we all love our Sony OLEDs so much, we want to share the joy!
