Qobuz Connect is finally here!!!

Yesterday, Qobuz Connect was finally launched to the public. So, today I went to go investigate to see if it works. Success! All I needed to do was open the Qobuz app on the 'puter, do a quick update and select the Lumin UX1 as the player.
Super simple and so far, I haven't encountered any glitches or weird stuff. Now, I can simply hit pause on the 'puter, when a phone call comes in. One click and it's paused to take the call while I am working in the office or fiddling around online whilst listening in a different room than the rig itself. No more of the waking up the phone, doing the finger print scan, waiting for the app to open up or going to the app and hitting pause. Just one click and the system is paused. One more to resume playing or switch songs. Nice!
I have been running with the Linn UPnP app for all this time, and it decided when it wanted to work, and it wasn't really user friendly.

We have all waited years and years for this....it's finally here folks! Yea!!!

Describe "all" I have not been waiting....at all

Well, I cannot argue that. Please allow me to rephrase...
Many folks who use, and have used, Qobuz for a long time, have been patiently waiting for this day to come. The launch date kept getting pushed back, and pushed back, and pushed back even more. So much so, that I had basically given up on it ever happening.

I think the benefit of having the "connect" feature goes well beyond the convenience of pausing from the 'puter like Tom is talking about.
It should allow you to control streaming from anything that has a Qobuz App to any "connect" capable output devices and switch to other outputs at will, like if you have multiple 'smart speakers' in the house, you can play to one, or sync to all.
Its not a feature that everyone uses, but it it is a nice addition. My kids use Spotify Connect to go from their phones to the various Echo Dots, Google minis, Toshiba WiFi Smart Speaker, Apple TV 4K boxes, etc. I would hope/expect that Qobuz Connect can do the same type of playback.

It does. You just choose the device you want to send the signal too.

Are you saying you can't stream Qobuz on your Cambridge? I thought that was one of the advantages of the connect feature, so you could stream any music streaming service that offers connect directly through the streaming service app, and no need to have it listed on the streaming devices app. -
I am almost certain that the device has to support the connect feature, atleast that was how it worked when tidal released tidal connect- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Qobuz has released a LONG list of companies with devices supporting Qobuz Connect. Notice that Cambridge is not on the list currently: https://help.qobuz.com/en/articles/314578-list-of-brands-integrated-into-qobuz-connect
I'm sure it'll be on there sooner or later. But as of today... no such luck.Analog: Hana ML > MoFi UltraDeck > Bob's Devices Sky 20-S > Sutherland 20/20 w/LPS

Having owned a Cambridge 851n for a few years I can attest to the fact that Cambridge is painfully slow with updating their products regarding any new tech - so much so that I’m surprised they sell any streaming equipment. It took them , literally, over a year to make their players play Tidal’s hi-rez FLAC files.

Innuos streamers (via their Innuous Sense app) have had Qobuz integrated for years. But yay for the rest of you!
For the record, I still use Spotify for my streaming needs. If I really want a HQ album, I either download, or rip to FLAC/DSD."This may not matter to you, but it does to me for various reasons, many of them illogical or irrational, but the vinyl hobby is not really logical or rational..." - member on Vinyl Engine

The entire purpose of the Connect feature is to completely bypass the hardware's app (like Innuous Sense). Virtually every streamer on the planet has had access to Qobuz through their apps and/or Roon for quite awhile.
Honestly, I don't know why every streaming coming isn't making a Connect feature right out of the gate. It has never made sense to me why a hardware company insists on making their own software (which is often clunky) vs leaning on the software and UX experiences that have been designed by these billion dollar streaming companies.Analog: Hana ML > MoFi UltraDeck > Bob's Devices Sky 20-S > Sutherland 20/20 w/LPS

Yes, lumin has terrible software, tidal connect made it enjoyable to use- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Eh, I don't mind it that much.

Agree with you, Trey. Not very intuitive, and the online "manual" is terrible.
Liking the SQ from Qobuz Connect. Pleasure to operate.
But, miss the easy access to lyrics that JPlay provides.
