Nice mock up! I had a cover made in 2012. I just scribbled some lines with dimensions. Can't find it but it would be too embarrassing to post it. :D

    This it?

So, again, I’m a little frustrated.
My new weight showed up yesterday afternoon 180g, I did suggest they send the 200g and that would give me some play.
Well the weight has to be placed as far back as it will go, and that puts the tracking force at 2.6 I would like to dial it at 1.9.
That puts me in the middle of Soundsmith’s recommended tracking force.

So I added this stainless screw to add a little weight, that gets me a lot closer, but I hate the look.
It was enough for me to at least do a couple test spins.
I will call when they open and see what I need to do to get the 200g weight.
I will just pay for it at this point if I need to.

Beautiful table, but seriously, for what it cost, send it with the options of the three weights, so the user can adjust as needed..

That is aggravating. Sorry to hear about it. More waiting, I guess...

Would nylon cartridge mounting screws (just a temporary solution) help?

Great idea, I will hit the Ace Hardware in a few..

I’m waiting on a phone call back from MD.

Edit: So again, I can’t say anything negative about the customer service, Music Direct, is again, very helpful, and he said come Monday he will do everything he can to get this rushed out to me. VPI is closed today or he would be making it happen today..

Okay, I may not be 100% happy with how I had to set it up to play today, but I can say, I’m 100% happy with what I’m hearing.

Last week, I ran to a local record store, just to see if they still had a copy of WAR from Record Store Day, they actually had 5 copies, and of course I had to look around for some friends to bring home with it.

This UFO album is so underrated IMO, my wife is a huge fan, and was super excited when I bought it home. We are enjoying it right now, sounds incredible!!

I can see the screw… did they remedy this yet? That’s ridiculous

I will have it this week. Ridiculous, yes, but they have all been very helpful, and making it happen.
Mat, at VPI has personally emailed me, and Brian, and Bas have been great at Music Direct.
So, yes at first, I was all about calling it ridiculous, but I have settled down, and with the screws and nuts, I was able to dial it all in, and I have been playing plenty of vinyl, with no issues, so that has helped keep me level, and also, I know it will be put to bed soon..

Again, I will shout out, how great the customer service has been, with both parties.

The only thing I haven’t understood, is why VPI has to send it to Music Direct first, instead of just drop shipping it to me directly.
I haven’t ask why, but my only guess is, to have a paper trail with the warranty being under them. Or something like that.

Not that it matters now, as I will have it this week.. 😎
