Monitor 7 Recap

I have a pair of Monitor 7s that I bought new in 1987. For the last few years they habe been used in a garage-like block building that I use as a workshop. I have not been very happy with them, but I figured, it's just my workshop, don't care that much.
I recently started reading this forum, just out of curiosity, and ran across the posts of people who recommended recapping the crossovers and replacing the tweeters with RD0194s. I assumed new tweeters would be the big improvement, but they were not in stock anywhere I looked. I decided to try the crossover recap, and got the Dayton caps from Parts Express.
Holy crap! I am blown away. This is not a subtle change. Everything is rich and clear, Bass is clean, trebles are bright. Completely different pair of speakers.
Midwest speaker repair just got RD0194s back in stock, so I ordered a couple. I can hardly wait to hear them.

Nice work! Sound "good as new"? "Better than new"?
my 3.1TLs
I will fix your shifted magnets for free. -
I'm afraid that my memory is good enough to remember what they sounded like new. -
Capacitor upgrades are a must for most vintage speakers in my opinion. Great job.

Looks good! I would have also gotten rid of that nasty poly switch. They're nothing but trouble.

And upgraded the resistor. Dayton is not a good choice for the 12uF either.Political Correctness'.........defined

Works for me, lol. Of course, now I'm down the upgrade rabbit hole, so I am willing to entertain all suggestions. Spent the last couple hours researching "magnet shift" and I guess I have more work to do.
Thanks!
