1”-3” thick books that had everyone’s phone number listed - UNLESS you paid extra to NOT have your number listed.

Only 13 channels available on TV. If that....and all TV went off air at 12.

Many of them didn't come in to great and this was on both UHF and VHF......then there was this "special" channel that every once in a while, would show something other than snow and mostly squiggly lines. What it focused in on, when it very briefly came into somewhat of a picture was, shall I say, "adult" in nature.

Something along the lines of the M*A*S*H episode, where you saw Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan, bare the forbidden. Yes, on public TV. They were quite nice, if I do say so myself.

Uhf tv stations. I'm betting none of my kids or grandkids know what those are or how difficult it was to get them. It also seemed like that was where all the good programs were.

How about starting a car with a dead battery by rolling & popping the clutch?

Land line phone with a 20 foot cord so you could walk across the room, and by the end of the call you would have the cord wrapped around you

Being 8 or 9 years old and running around outside on a summer's night, unsupervised, with a bunch of other neighborhood kids. Playing kick the can or whatever... until the mosquito truck comes by.

How old are you? I thought you were younger than I, but we had cable TV here since the late 60's. There were only 13 channels on the dial though. And the remote was wired. Dad was a stereo/electronics nut.
These days I use an antenna though. Nothing to watch on cable worth the cost, so I cancelled in 2014.
