Veri Fi SnubWay......don't listen to music, experience it!

Tom,
Everything in my system runs off a PS Audion P10 regenerator. Where would the devices be installed? Thanks! -
Preferably, at or nearest the outlet closest to your system....or even plugged into the regenerator itself. I would personally do it before the P10 though. Differing systems and electrical noise yield differing results, so experimenting would provide you the best results.
I'd have to look, but one of them is in the main outlet before the system, and the other is plugged into the conditioner itself (which is basically used as a power strip that offers more outlets and is only used for power support on non critical items within the streaming portion of the rig) FWIW.

I just got this from Vera Fi:
Dear Friends,
Sometimes, things don’t go as planned for us and this mistake might work in your favor.
A few months ago, we had a batch of SnubWay and Main Stream units where the front panels were just a little off-axis. Nothing that affects performance—just a small visual quirk. Our vendor made them by accident, and we thought we sold through every bit of what we had.
We have set aside 10 SnubWay and 10 Main Stream for a distributor in Asia that wants them at US 3-prong variants. But guess what? A mix-up on our end meant we accidentally sent them A-stock instead.
So now, these units are up for grabs at a one-time-only price of $185 each—no gimmicks, just a great deal on both SnubWay and Main Stream with a minor cosmetic flaw.
Get SnubWay at only $185
Upon clicking this button, you will be redirected to the SnubWay Product Page with the discount code activated. (https://verafiaudiollc.com/discount/Oops?redirect=/products/snubway/)
Get Main Stream at only $185
Upon clicking this button, you will be redirected to the Main Stream Product Page with the discount code activated. (https://verafiaudiollc.com/discount/Oops?redirect=/products/mainstream/)
For those who don't like links, you can use the checkout code "Oops" to grab from the 10 available units each of US 3-prong variants SnubWay or Main Stream at $185.
These aren’t just any units—they carry the same award-winning performance that has caught the attention of top reviewers.

What’s the difference between the Snubway and the Main Stream? Seems they basically do the same thing at the same price. Are the differences obvious and I’m just not seeing them?Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden
-
They are designed to focus on different parts of the noise spectrum. Not sure if the website has a more in-depth explanation.
-
Correct. Here is a snap shot of a post I made in December. This should clear up what noise each one targets.

Mark Schifter?
The same Mark Schifter who stole money thru a fake charity at av123?
- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Hmmm, apparently so. I was unaware of any of this but I just read up on the entire situation. After all of the dust has settled, I ran across this - posted 5/5 of 2014 on Audioholics.Reportedly from Stereophile wrote:I normally don't get involved in Internet chat as I stay too busy. However, in this case since I was being mentioned I thought I would make a single post. It is interesting that the poster has decided to remain anonymous and has not posted an email link with his post.
Yes, I hired Mark to do PR work for Emerald Physics about 2 years ago. I have known him for over 35 years and consider him a friend. I bought Audio Alchemy products as well as Genesis products from him at my former company. Yes, Mark has made some severe mistakes and he has paid the price for those, and continues to do so. Sometimes good people do bad things and Mark freely admits his mistakes and is in the process of paying back all the money involved and apologizing appropriately. He has worked two jobs over the last few years working 70-80 hours a week to make proper restitution for his crimes.
However, once he has paid the price that society decided was proper punishment for his crimes I for one believe in forgiveness and the ability to get on with one’s life. Mark has been in the audio industry his entire life and in some ways the industry is his life. He is an extremely talented product designer with great passion for what he does. To say that Mark should not be allowed to work in the audio industry is absurd in my opinion. This is not the financial services industry where people handle millions of dollars of other people’s money. All financial transactions come thru me in the end I take responsibility for all my sales.
Some time ago Mark started contributing design work for me and now comes to shows as well. I am not ashamed to put him in front of the public or to call him my friend. He has done great work in transforming Emerald Physics into a far better company than when I bought it a few years ago. He now works with customers in our Emerald Physics Showplace in Colorado as well. He has permission to do this. It is interesting to note that almost everyone that has contact with Mark loves him and the high quality of customer service that they have received. The outpouring of industry support has also been extraordinary. In the end the buck stops here and I would be glad to speak personally to anyone who wants to call me and discuss this at 770-667-5633.

While I am assuming that this is the same Mark (sounds very much like it is). His products, or at least the ones I am using are top notch products, offered at prices that are WELL below industry standards. I am so impressed with them (Puron, Snubway and Master Class Conditioner), I will be purchasing yet another one of his products that is currently getting rave reviews. That being, the Swiss Digital Fuse Box. SDFB for short. In conjunction with the graphine Sluggo, there are reports coming in from many forums and users that are very positive.
I am saddened to learn of this, but I will personally not let his past restrict my audio journey, as his products (that I have personally tried so far) offer quite the leap into the next level of sonic playback. While he may have made a very serious mistake earlier on in his life? I feel that he shouldn't be punished for the rest of his life over it. It's not like he's the Ted Denny of today's audio world, still at it. FWIW.

Tom’s review of these products factored heavily into my decision to give them a try once I saw the (approaching two-for-one) deal being offered. His, and mostly all the other online reviews, are quite favorable. I still feel good about my purchase, but I’ll let y’all know once I have a listen.

Av123 was known for offering fantastic products at great prices, they even sold alot of products at a loss. I don't doubt their products are solid but just wanted to verify he is one and the same. He did in fact burn many many people out of their money - he was arrested years later for this portion, https://forums.audioholics.com/forums/threads/mark-schifter-arrested-again.78372/ and for some folks it's hard to overlook the past given the nature of his scam. That takes a certain personality that doesn't usually go away.
I'm all for what they are doing and offering being on the up and up. V they seem to deliver based on your feedback- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -

Since I don't know which device you are referring too, I'll just answer for all of them.
The Mainstream is plugged into one of the main outlets, right before the system.
The Snubway is placed at the first outlet within the AQ Niagra 1000 (the rest of the outlets feed the streaming components that support everything else but the streamer itself. That is plugged directly into the wall)
The 5 Puron's are plugged into and wrap around all of the outlets that lead up to the system.
BTW, for those that want to prosecute Mark for the rest of his life? More power to you. I'm not even going to argue. I just feel bad for anyone who ever did something wrong in their life. I guess they should also be punished for the rest of their life as well. In the meantime, I'll enjoy what his products have brought to these ears. YMMV.

Did you experiment with flip flopping the Snubway and Main stream positions? I just ordered the combo and Mark said to place the Snubway into the duplex outlet that feeds my Audioquest Niagara power conditioner and to place the main stream on the Niagara which sounds like the opposite of where you have them. Maybe either position is fine and the correct position is simply which ever sounds best in your system. -
I'm sure @treitz3 will be along soon, but check the link to the review that @maxward posted above. Sounds like experimentation is key. I'm direct to my integrated amp with one of my outlets and into my HPC A15 Power Conditioner with the other, so I'll try some combo of both into the PC, and one or the other into the PC and the other one in a free outlet on the same circuit.
The reviews on the Vera-Fi Audio website have all sorts of variations described and documented with photos. I guess starting with his suggestion is fine, but doesn't seem like it's a one size fits all deal.

I did do some experimenting. When I first got the Snubway, I believe I had it out in the LR. A few hours later (or the next day), I put it in the stereo room. I kept getting it closer to the rig and the best sound for me came from it's current position. As for swapping the MC and the Snubway? Nope. I just plugged in the MC when I got it and honestly had zero yearning to experiment further. Basically, the MC is on the first plug that feeds the main components (at the wall) and the Snubway is on the network support components (via the AQ Niagara).
The wonderful thing is, that these are parallel devices. Meaning, you can move them around and place them in the most effective position for your rig.
What works wonders for placement in my system, may not exactly reflect what would work best in your system. The great thing is, it only takes but 10 seconds to swap a position (if the plugs themself are easily accessible). You do want to place them as near to the system as possible, otherwise the noise that they eliminate may work themselves back into the circuit before it actually hits the system.
Tom~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
Thanks Tom, I will definitely have to experiment as I have multiple locations that could benefit.
-
Have had my SnubWay for a few days now and moved it around my pretty limited locations in the room. I have definitely come to some conclusions, which I will save for the time-being. But, as far as it being cosmetically flawed to result in the promotion that @maxward posted, it looks perfect to me.
The Master Class is currently out for delivery, so plan to listen with it in place tonight.

Well I just want to thank Tom for bringing these 2 units to light here on the forum. I followed the post for awhile & finally the curiosity got the best of me.
The Snubway without a doubt made an audible difference to my system.
Next up is the Master Class when working hand & hand with the Snubway (they filter different noise issues) should elevate things even further.
Expecting delivery this Wed. Once both units are up & running in the system for awhile I'll revisit with a follow-up.

The sound scape is awesome. Speakers are gone *poof*

Tom
This is exactly what I noticed on Day 2 with the SnubWay. Crazy-big 3D and holographic sound. Pinpoint instrument placement and imaging. More clarity in voices. Widened sweet spot. More dynamics.
I moved it for two days from an outlet two down from where my amp and power conditioner are plugged in to a spot on the PC itself and all those qualities disappeared. Back in the original position and everything was great again.
Master Class, one hour in, has muddied things up a bit, but that same "large" sound is still there. So, even if the Master Class doesn't settle down in a day or two, and I'm fairly sure it will based on the comments I've read, I could be totally happy with the just the SnubWay.
Edit: The discounted Master Class is also perfect in every way that I can tell, in terms of cosmetics.
