A/B comparison of amps

I have a Naim Uniti Atom for my Internet radio and Spotify. I have McIntosh MC2505 amp and C28 preamp not in use. If I attach my McIntosh amp to the Naim "stereo RCA sub / pre output" is there a way to compare two amps with an A/B switch?

Are you able to set the output to full range?

I don't understand your question.
My McIntosh components are currently out for a tune up so I won't be able to test this new idea out until I get them back.
I got confirmation over on the Naim forum that my Atom will function as a pre amp and the volume control under this circumstance.
I'm not sure how to wire both the Atom and McIntosh amps to one pair of speakers. -
Let me explain better. You described the Naim's output as: "stereo RCA sub/pre output" which indicates, to me anyway, that this is a line level output that can either be one that is filtered (only bass sounds) or full range. So, my question was do you know how this works? Is there something in the owner's manual about how to make the output either a sub out or a preamp out? If there's a switch to make it a preamp output then yes, you could use it to send a signal to the Mac and see how it sounds.

Looking at the Naim Uniti Atom specs it has both full bandwidth preamp outs and amplified speaker outs. It does not have a separate Sub pre-amp out (at least the one I am seeing on their site).
The easy way is:
(1st) Connect the Naim pre-out to the Macintosh amp and connect the amp speaker outputs to your speakers, listen to it.
(2nd) Move the speaker inputs from the Mac over to the Naim Uniti Atom's internal speaker outputs and listen again.
You could also potentially involve some type of AB switch but I think that will complicate issues.
All of the above is if I am reading your request correctly.
