These guys: https://www.wharfedaleusa.com/collections/bookshelf-speakers/products/super-denton-bookshelf-speakers-pair?variant=41916491071567#

In red mahogany finish. I purchased them in September brand new from Music Direct. They are in like new 9/10 open box condition.

I really enjoy the sound of these, but I have too many pairs of bookshelf speakers here (7) and not enough room, so I need to move some of them along. These are tube friendly, 6ohm easy load. Meant to be listened to with the grilles on. Really impressive price to performance ratio.

Asking $1k shipped for established members via PP F&F. Thanks for looking!

    {awesome button}

    I 🍆 Wharfedale.

Great price, great seller. Buy with confidence.

If they're anything like the Lintons or EVO 4.2 sound signature wise, these'd make a great near field or mid-size space setup.

2.1 with bookshelf speakers and a music-first sub is my go-to for 2ch. [Why not full range floor standers? Primarily because none of my spaces are ideal for full range speakers, though hasn't stopped me from collecting some. For me, nothing beats the presence and clarity of 2.1]

Drew, would you say they sound like the EVO 4.2? Not so much in performance comparison given the significant design differences, but meaning more the Wharfedale house sound? I know the "Super" series was supposed to offer some refinements over the initial gen.

I find the Wharfedale speakers I've had experience with to be very smooth, very easy to listen to, and they image nicely. Easy on the eyes, as well, some of the wood models. The models I have sound like they should cost more than they do. They're either sleepers, simply great value, or I suck at speaker assessment and have low standards.

Hi Scott - Thank you for your note and your interest in these three-way Wharfedale bookshelf speakers. Allow me to answer some of your questions and put your mind at ease.

In regards to their sound, I would say that yes, they do in fact have a similar sound to the EVO 4.2 speakers. I believe this is because they share the same (or at least very similar) 2" dome midrange driver.

They also feature a Kevlar/aramid fiber woofer. So they certainly do effectively carry that warm, pleasant (dare I say polite), and fatigue-free Wharfedale house sound that Peter Comeau has designed into these latest generations of Wharfeldale speaker lineups.

The tweeter/treble presentation is different though as we're comparing an AMT vs a traditional soft dome. In some ways I found the treble to be even airier on the Super Dentons compared to the EVO 4.2, but I have not listened to the EVOs in a long time, so my auditory memory may be coming up slightly short.

I should really un-box those EVOs again and give them a listen. Right now all they're doing is sitting in my bedroom in their original box so that my cat has a platform to sit on and look out the window. I'm not joking.

Of course there is an audiophile-grade towel draped over the box so that his **** doesn't actually come into contact with the cardboard. Please, I'm not a monster.

This post should be an effective indicator of if my company is key logging or not. Will report back with what disciplinary action, including, but not limited to termination of employment, comes of this.

Will you sell that audiophile-grade towel separately?

Price drop to $900 shipped. Would strongly prefer to sell these here instead of USAM.

Mainly because I'm too lazy to unbox them again and take photos. People that know me here know that if I state something is 9/10 open box condition as these are, that's exactly what it will be.
